Many celebrities tend to catch on to fads that everyone else will catch on to—whether it’s a new diet, outfit or using a certain product or service, celebrities can amplify brand awareness hundreds of times over due to the fact that they are often all over television, social media and the Internet. This also extends to CBD.
Here are some of the most famous people who use CBD:
#1. Kim Kardashian
Love her or hate her, Kim Kardashian is a celebrity with international appeal. The extended Kardashian family, as well as her step-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner (who became the youngest billionaire in history), can be spotted all over television, social media, YouTube and more. It can be argued that the Kardashian/Jenner family will always be in the news for one reason or another and that public interest in their daily lives will always remain high.
Kim is married to rapper Kanye West, who has a massive following of his own, and she has gone as far as stating that CBD saved her life. She even had a CBD-themed baby shower. In an interview with People, Kim said, “How do I do it all? It is exhausting. I just say CBD. But I do. It has gotten me through a lot.” With the star power of at least one Kardashian backing CBD, it seems like there will always be an interest in CBD products as long as she remains interested in it.
#2. Morgan Freeman
Morgan Freeman is so famous that he can be identified through his voice alone. Throughout his 50+ years in film and theater, he is known for his roles in films such as Driving Miss Daisy (1989), The Shawshank Redemption (1994) and even comedic roles such as God in Bruce Almighty (2003).
The veteran actor is no stranger to CBD products. Freeman reports that he uses it to address discomfort, and we’re sure that many older individuals may follow Freeman’s example of using CBD products to improve their quality of life.
#3. Seth Rogen
This comedy veteran, who has served as an actor, writer, producer and director, has been in the industry for over 20 years, starting as a staff writer on Da Ali G Show. He also starred in films such as Superbad (2007), Pineapple Express (2008), the Kung Fu Panda series (2008-2016), Neighbors (2014), The Interview (2014) and Sausage Party (2016), as well as the recent remake of The Lion King (2019).
How great is Rogen’s love of CBD and other cannabis products? Not only does he personally use cannabis products, but he has also testified in front of the United States Congress to advocate for cannabis use. He is also a member of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML). In 2019, Rogen and longtime friend and collaborator Evan Goldberg launched a Canadian cannabis company, Houseplant.
#4. Snoop Dogg
Not a day goes by that rapper Snoop Dogg doesn’t talk about smoking marijuana. In fact, Snoop actually employs someone to roll his own blunts. Once a part of the thriving rap scene of the early 90s, Snoop credits cannabis as helping him become a more relaxed person, even spending a stint as a reggae singer named Snoop Lion. The rapper has also ventured into acting, sports, animal rights, and has even engaged in political activism and esports.
Snoop even has his own line of cannabis products called Leafs By Snoop. He has spoken positively about CBD. In a surprising, comical twist, he has formed what some may consider an unlikely partnership with retail businesswoman and TV personality Martha Stewart. “He actually does a good job of sharing his smoke with me, and I don’t even smoke!” Stewart said.
#5. Montel Williams
Montel Williams was a fixture on daytime talk television in the 1990s and well into the 2000s with The Montel Williams Show (1991-2008). Williams is also a military veteran who served from 1974 to 1989 in the Marines and Navy, so military veterans can relate to this talk show host. Midway through his talk show career, he picked up using medical marijuana and became a major advocate for the industry starting in 1999.
Williams is a major marketer for CBD products, saying that he spent years working to develop high-quality CBD products to address discomfort. He even runs his own CBD company, Lenitiv. Given Williams’ longtime contributions to the industry and his status as a military veteran, ex-military individuals in particular might find CBD useful in their daily lives
